Mike is originally from Queens, N.Y. but grew up in Long Island. After serving in the Navy and meeting his wife Margie, who was instrumental in bringing Christ into his life, he eventually decided to go into full time ministry.
After ministering in New Jersey for 2 years, God opened the door in New York where Mike served the church there for 13 years. He was then called to Columbus, Ohio where he continued in ministry there for another 8 years. His mission work has also taken him abroad to evangelize in Barnaul, Russia.
Mike is a graduate of the Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock, Texas. He joins the Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ as our full-time pulpit minister from Pine Valley Church of Christ in Wilmington, NC, where he served for 10 years. He’s been married to his beautiful wife, Margie, for over 40 years, and the couple have 3 daughters: Brooke, their eldest, who lives in Clayton, NC, Elizabeth (21), and Allison (19). Mike and Margie also served as foster parents for over 60 children during their marriage (and their youngest two daughters were eventually adopted).
